Ok, KC outsiders should probably not rate KC BBQ places but I give this a 4 of 5. Great service and the ribs were great but my idea of great is good rub and fall off the bone so mission accomplished. I dipped in the sauce which I thought was good. Sides were great, fries were insane...fresh and crispy. Only room for improvement is beer choice. My bud had the burnt ends, and he is local and the lasted 5 min. Minnesota BBQ guy approves

Staff was great with what their favorite meat was. Also gave me a sample of one of the others for I could try it. BBq was cooked well and had a good bark. Had a very good seasoning.

We came here for dinner after working out at Genesis gym across the street. The customer service from the gentleman behind the counter serving the food was exceptional. He knows the product and is great at making recommendations. Very helpful. The vibe is great. Music playing in the background and large tvs with sports on. It's a relaxed casual atmosphere. You come in order at the counter and sit down with your food. There is a fountain drink machine. It's a Pepsi restaurant and has sweet and unsweet tea. The ribs were tender and really good. The burnt ends were plentiful and good flavor. The original barbecue sauce was my go to. The sweet sauce was not bad. I enjoyed the relaxed environment and look forward to trying one of their bowls next time. Everyone that works there is kind and friendly.

It was good it wasn't a Jack or Q39 good but it was more reasonably priced and the portions were bigger. It is self service style. You walk up to the counter and they serve you. Cheesey corn was good and the fries were average. It is a big place so plenty of tables. We had biscuit ,burnt ends and ribs. Multiple bbq sauces. Hot sweet etc.

I thought that the Rub was a great experience! It is counter service which surprised me but the employees were great and they helped us pick out our food. The "tips" burrito was huge and really tasty( and filling). We also split a full rack of ribs that reminded me of the ribs Fred Flintstone would love! It is a huge serving that 2 of us couldn't finish. Great bbq sauce options to pick from.

Usually I will have a picture of the food to include, but I hope the lack of one is a testament to how great the food looked, smelled, and tasted. Our friends graciously had us over for dinner and had gotten The Rub for takeout. I had the Hillbilly bowl and my partner had the BBQ Burrito. Both were delicious and really worked, though the Burrito was a standout. The Hillbilly bowl dropped the rating a little bit, because the potatoes in the bowl seemed to have been an older batch and in general, lots of bbq sauce was needed to doctor up how dry the potatoes were. However, the burnt ends really saved the dish and were so juicy and flavorful. It was my first time having The Rub and I'll be back again in the future to try again!

Enjoyed the food here. My wife and I tried this place on a whim as we were in the area. It was a rainy day but there wasn't a wait to order when we went in. In addition to BBQ sandwiches, I appreciate that they have BBQ bowls which you don't find everywhere. I enjoyed the Nebraska Bowl, which includes sausage, pork, cheesy corn, beans, and onion strings. I enjoyed the combination of flavors and the meat was good itself. They have an original BBQ sauce and a hot. I have a pretty high heat tolerance and the hot option wasn't very spicy to me so don't be too intimidated by it but I liked the flavor.

We fed a group of ten using their tailgaters package and adding a pound of meat and some more sides. Everyone enjoyed it and we had a little meat leftover. I thought the ribs were really good.
